Sources: Valeri Nichushkin involved in alcohol-related incident at team hotel

According to sources reporting exclusively to The Avalanche Sin Bin, Valeri Nichushkin was involved in an alcohol-related incident at the team hotel, which led to the Avalanche getting involved.


If Nichushkin is gone long-term, that will mean the entire second line from the Stanley Cup-winning squad a year ago, is gone, including Gabriel Landeskog, who is out for the season with a knee injury. The Avs and the Seattle Kraken have split the first two games in their first round series.


As of Monday evening, there is no further information available on whether Nichushkin has entered the Players Assistance Program or if he has been formally disciplined by the Avalanche.
