Avalanche injury report entering final regular season game

The injury list isn't as long for the Colorado Avalanche, but long enough to potentially make a serious impact.

Bowen Byram

The star defenseman missed the last two games due to an illness. However, he did skate earlier this morning at Family Sports Center as he makes progress towards a full recovery.

Cale Makar

The superstar has been plagued by injuries for the last few months, but a lower-body injury has kept him on the bench for the past four games. Initially prescribed as "no timeline for return," Makar's status has since been downgraded to day-to-day, which is great news for a team destined to make a deep playoff run.

Artturi Lehkonen

Lehkonen is recovering the broken thumb he suffered against the Montreal Canadiens. Per sources reporting to the Avalanche Sin Bin, Lehkonen will likely play on Thursday against the Jets to see if he is ready for playoff hockey/

Josh Manson

Manson has been out for over a month now with a lower-body injury. There is concern that the defenseman will be out for the start of the playoffs.

Darren Helm

With his advanced age and the injuries he has sustained this season, the clutch Helm could be done for the season. Ben Meyers and Denis Malgin both exemplified against the Oilers they can provide solid depth.

Gabriel Landeskog

As we recently reported, Landeskog won't touch the ice at all during the regular season. With the playoffs just around the corner, the captain stands a chance of missing the whole year. Not the news Avs fans wanted to hear, but if they win another Stanley Cup, perhaps that's the silver lining.

Final Regular Season Game

The Avalanche take on the Winnipeg Jets at home with a chance of winning the Central Division once again (6 p.m. MT).
